Remy Martin This Cognac house producing excellent Cognac Fine Champagne and wine eau-de-vie has existed since 1724, almost 300 years. Fine Champagne is the highest quality category in the production of Cognac. In addition, the Rémy house has had an exciting history of family feuds, mergers and a boom in American popular culture in recent years.

4. Pierette Richet is Rémy Martin’s cellar master, one of the few women in this industry. She is only the fourth cellar master in 100 years. This demonstrates how the tradition has been kept alive through the generations.
5. As with any great family tradition, there was a quarrel. Father André Renaud had written in his will that his eldest daughter Anne-Marie would inherit 51% of the business and his youngest daughter Geneviève 49%. Anne-Marie married André Hériard Dubreuil (who then ran Rémy Martin) and Geneviève married Max Cointreau, of the famous French liquor company.
6. Rémy Martin has developed a clear spirit, Rémy Martin V. Instead of aging in oak barrels, the eau-de-vie goes through an ice-cold filtration process. There are notes of pear and fresh mint and in fact it tastes more like vodka than cognac
